I'm not a big Star Wars fan, but this cake was alot of fun to make!! Carved dark chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, covered in fondant and painted. Jabba's arms and princess Leia are gumpaste.
I made this as a gift for my father and step-mother's wedding. Had to first transport it to their house for the ceremony, then take it along in the limo bus for the hour long trip to the reception site/restaurant...all on the most HUMID, MUGGY, day ever! lol. I especially liked how the board turned out, just some clear, purple and white stones glued onto foil. thanks for looking :)

For a friend's mom who loves HP...I wanted to make something that wasn't too childish, and I also love owls and wanted to try my hand at rice krispie treat sculpting, so this is what I came up with. The owl, Hedwig is RKT covered in fondant, cake iced in BC. Snitch, wand, and glasses all fondant. Thanks for looking :)
16" tire, fondant covered. Front brake (the silver circle in the middle) is fondant, and spokes are painted cookie/lollipop sticks.
For my niece's 4th birthday, she wanted Cinderella all along, then made a last minute switch for iCarly, her new favorite show. She changes her mind on me at the last minute every year...lol
This was done for my daughter's preschool class, I had to make 2 of them for the school's 2 centers. They were slightly different but the same basic design. All buttercream with fondant accents and edible images
my daughter decorated this cake for her daddy for fathers day. Shes 3 and it was her first cake--she's very proud!!
I did this cake for a friend of my aunt's wedding shower. My aunt wanted anything with dragonflies and I had had the idea of doing something with stained glass on a cake for a long time. it took a long time and I wasn't really sure it would turn out as I had imagined, but I was actually really pleased with the results and everyone at the party loved it. I now have plans and drawings for many more lamp cakes, I think they're going to become my specialty :) I'll post another pic so the whole 'lamp' shows.
this cake was for a going away party when my brother moved to chicago recently. everything is made out of fondant except for the cone which is cardboard covered with fondant. it took a long time to make but it was so much fun! ...wasn't sure what category to put it in though
I did this cake for my neice's 2nd birthday- the doors and top design are made with flow in icing. I used a black and white coloring print-out for the top design, and made my own templates for each of the doors.
