Teddy Bear Baby Shower Cake

Teddy Bear cake is strawberry pound cake. 10" Banana Nut Cake, 14" Chocolate Buttermilk cake. BC with fondant accents. Inspiration from Wilton's Tiered Cakes book. Made for new grandson due in a few weeks.

Pink & Green

Color scheme chosen by the birthday girl. BC with gumpaste letters and numbers.

Dracula's Castle

10" & 6" square cakes using Wilton's turret's, which are a pain to keep upright. Hopefully they'll stay up until we cut it. The figurines are plastic.

Green

6" & 10". Buttercream icing with fondant details. Inspired by another cake on CC but I could not find the original designer to give credit to but I am very thankful. I was not too crazy about the colors but it is what my DIL requested. She was thrilled with it.

Star Wars

My great-nephew's birthday cake. He absolutely LOVES Star Wars. The kids at the party fought over who got a slice of which picture, I had to intervene & calm them all down LOL. BC with edible image, chocolate cake with banana cream filling.

Milky Way

This is my husband's birthday cake for today. He loves chocolate and candy bars. First time making chocolate fondant with not very good results :- ( Chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling and caramel filling. Iced in chocolate ganache and covered with chocolate fondant. Edible image for the Milky Way logo. Inspiration from peacockplace Snickers Cake, many thanks!

No More Work!

Retirement cake for a co-worker. He used to eat all day long, literally! How he stayed so slim I don't know. He also loves classic cars, his favorite a 1969 Chevy Chevelle. Thanks to NEWTODECORATING's retirement cake for the inspiration. The cake is an 11x15 Tres Leches with Pastry Pride icing with chocolate transfers.

Albert & Aspen

My son's wedding was postponed early this week as the bride-to-be was in a car accident on the way to the courthouse! She was not seriously injured and they are getting married tomorrow. Let's pray all goes well this time. I chose to rebake. This is a lot smaller, only one layer but we did eat and enjoy the other cake I made. This is a 10" yellow cake, covered in fondant, silk flowers, gumpaste letters.

Doll Cake

Mini-Wondermold pan with 2 small round cakes for height. MMF. Upper body is torso only of a doll I bought at the 99 cent store.

Elmo

This is a very small Elmo. I had trouble with his nose staying on so I had to make it out of MMF, and it got smashed as I tried to get it to stay on. Made for my 10-month-old great-nephew who we are going to visit this weekend.

Clothesline Cake

I originally had a grand Topsy-Turvy cake planned for my new grandson's baby shower cake, but after working on it for 2 days it crashed TWICE so I had to scrap that cake and make this sheet cake. I was up until past 2 a.m. getting this done. I was inspired by many clothesline cakes here on CC, thanks to all!

This is my 5-year-old granddaughter's very first decorated cake. She designed this all by herself, down to putting a shawl on it. It's a mini-doll cake with MMF. She's quite proud of herself.
