Made this (my first 3d type cake) for my husband's birthday over a year ago. It wasn't very difficult with the edible parts that came with the kit. He enjoyed it.
I made these for someone who was having an adult pirate-themed b-day party. She had seen my sample ones at our farmers market booth and liked them. I changed the design to suit what she wanted. I made these for someone who belongs to a tandem bicycle club and wanted some cookies for a club get-together. It was really fun to try to figure out how to "draw" them on the background cookie, especially since I am not into mechanics. I hand cut the design and then used royal icing for the details.

This is a photo of a few cupcakes that I made for a holiday potluck. I am new to cake and cookie decorating but enjoy looking and getting inspiration from all of your photos. I used royal icing to make the snowflakes and let them dry for a few days before placing on the cookies-many broke. I made the snowmen with pretzel sticks to hold them up and other candy.
