Firetruck
For my son's 3rd bday- my first attempt at a truck. Happy with the way it turned out, learned alot too. The front two parts were lemon cake with lemon buttercream, and the back was chocolate fudge with ganache. This cake turned out alot bigger than I thought- that cake board is 30" by 18"! He loved it!

Race Cars Cake
Last minute birthday cake for my nephew ( I had less than 24 hours notice, and I'm no professional!) 2 8" chocolate chip cakes trimmed and put together. Buttercream icing with MMF for the racetrack number and checkerboard design on the side. Put together the idea from lots of similar cakes posted by other CC members. Thanks for the inspiration!

Disney Fairies Featuring Silvermist
I made this cake for a friend's daughter, who loves all the Disney Fairies but Silvermist is her favorite. Her mom found a cake she liked on Flickr and I made few changes to make it more "Silvermisty." I decided to make an earth layer and a pond layer, and used a grass tip fof the bottom edges. This was my first time making gumpaste flowers and I was really happy with how they came out. Chocolate chip cake inside with buttercream icing and MMF. This was a HUGE cake- 12" on the bottom and 8" on top. TFL! :)

Lightning Mcqueen
Inspired by lots of cool cakes here on CC. My first big tiered cake- special thanks to those who answered my questions along the way! Almond cake with buttercream icing, marshmallow fondant landscape, and gumpaste signs. 10", 8", and 6 " layers, had to offset the middle layer slightly to make more room for the road. I was really proud of this one! :)

Construction Trucks Cake
Two layers (11 x 15 sheets) of devils food cake covered with chocolate buttercream. Cut a wide "V" out of the front, used the cut-out piece to make the ramp and base of the pile of rocks. I made soil from crumbled Oreos mixed with brown sugar. The rocks were chocolate candy rocks I found at Walmart. Hubby had the idea to do a black and yellow border around the bottom. Our son loved it!
