Castle Cake
This cake was for my daughter's 6th birthday. Many thanks to CakeBoss for their incredibly detailed tutorial on their website! Towers are paper towel rolls covered in fondants, cake layers are covered in buttercream. Both were impressed with a cobblestone impression mat (Shade-Tex sheets from a clay supply store!) Very fun cake to make, and impressed all the moms and kids!

Groundhog Day Cupcakes
The instructions for these cupcakes are from Family Fun Magazine's website. The groundhogs are supposed to be Almond Joy bars, but I used Ruffles Macaroon instead. The ears and cheeks are brown mini m&ms. The noses are heart shaped cake decors. The eyes are the ends of white jelly beans with a dot of brown decorating gel. The teeth are little bits of jelly bean. They are fiddly to make, but they are so darn cute, and got lots of oohs and ahhs!
