Cake For Mom's Group
This was for a mom's group function at my church. I had tons of problems with this cake! When I placed the center dowel in, I had trouble getting it in and made the board buckle, thus making the cake lopsided. To make matters worse, it never made it to church (in one piece) . It was on a pedestal plate, and I hit a bump, and it just kept progressively falling until it was in pieces! No more cakes for me!

Not So Good Birthday Cake
This is not what I planned to do. I was going to make it blue, but the person I'm making it for decided later that she wanted purple, and it looks kind-of childish with the pinks. Also, I was going to put the 60 at the top of the bow, but it broke -twice! Also, this is lopsided - the boards buckled when I put the dowels in and the tiers shifted!

Baseball Stadium - Failed Attempt
This is my first attempt at a baseball stadium. Apparently the bleachers were too heavy and the cake later cracked. I later put dowels through the side to push the cake back together and angled the bleachers (who knows why I didn't the first time - this is my first shaped cake) and covered with fondant.

Buttercream With Fondant Roses
Buttercream with fondant roses and fondant flower border. Ribbon and pearl bottom border. The cake settled a little because of the weight so the ribbon is sagging down and some of the flowers moved. Now I learned for next time. It was for a shower at my church so it wasn't a big deal.

Family Birthday Cake
This is a badly frosted (in buttercream) chocolate cake with MMF accents and flowers. The icing was soft and never seemed to set after I attempted to crumb coat the cake. I was in a hurry, and since it was just for my family, I just left the icing as is. I also couldn't smooth it because I couldn't wait for it to crust.
