Fishy Birthday

Brightly colored buttercream covered carved oval sheetcake. Fondant strips for fins, eyeball, and bubbles. Fresh banana cake with vanilla buttercream icing. Sugar sprinkles for some sparkle. Blue covered cakeboard to mimic water. A fun cake to make! Rendition of the Wilton 2007 version using a shaped cake pan. I don't do stars!

Fish Cake

Chocolate torted cake with Chocolate buttercream filling. Iced with chocolate buttercream and covered with grey tinted Satin Ice fondant. "Colored" by mixing luster dusts and powdered icing colors with almond extract and painting the fondant. Used large tip's big end to make the scales. Hardened the fins by adding some gumtex powder to the Satin Ice. Credit to anyone who thinks this looks like their cake! I looked at several cakes for inspiration..one in particular but don't recall who gets kudos.

Piggy Birthday

Chocolate fudge cake, buttercream icing, fondant piggy, purchased fence and trees. Round 8" layers.

Funky Fiftieth Birthday

Two oval tiers to serve 90. White, almond sour cream cake with almond BC icing. Fondant flowers, and fifty little candles on a frosted cake board for easy removal and serving.

Hannah Montana Birthday

Oval sheetcake with vanilla and chocolate buttercream. chocolate fudge cake. Edible image of H. Montana. Clear cake glitter sprinkled on the cornelli lace, which I use to camoflage the image edges as well as my less than perfect smoothing job (overrated, overrated....)!!!!!

Mr. Alligator Cake

White Almond Sour Cream layer cake, iced in almond buttercream. Fondant/gumpaste alligator and leaves. Cake "theme" based on birthday girl's favorite storybook. Line from story printed around cake perimeter. Used Fimo clay instructions to make the alligator. Monkey "soapdish" provided by customer. A Target product, so I'm told.

Edible Image Dino

Chocolate oatmeal cake with chocolate buttercream icing. Last minute order asking for a dinosaur birthday theme for a 4-year-0ld boy. Found cute little critters and trees at my cake supply store and did the edible image off clipart on the net. Corkscrew candles added a little zip. LOL

Cupcake Wedding

Serving table for wedding that served 29 dozen gourmet cupcakes. Five flavors....each decorated to coordinate with the wedding decor/color scheme. Handmade fondant/royal/gumpaste/and white chocolate decorations for each. Ourdoor wedding. Will follow with more submission for closer view of some of the cupcakes.

Pink First Birthday

First birthday cake for a friend's daughter. Incorporated a recent photo and decorated the cake to compliment the little girl's dress. Buttercream icing with clear cake glitter and teal accents and writing. White almond sour cream cake recipe from CC. My stock white cake that gets rave reviews.

Shower Time

10" round cake, fresh lemon with fresh lemon BC icing. Edible image accents and fondant ribbon roses. Gumpaste circles to hold the little e.image clockfaces. Credit to CC for the idea. Customer called with "around the clock" shower theme and needed cake to match. CC to the rescue~ I searched and found several to inspire me. Kudos to whomever!!!!

Princess Chloe

Sour Cream Almond White cake in large oval, 4" mini-cake inside crown, Buttercream icing, and fondant flowers and hearts. Sugar glitter , an edible image photo, and a darling $2.50 crown!

Fondant Lamb

Customer brought nursery decor and wanted the cake to match it. I promise...this is what it looked like!!! LOL White Almond Sour Cream cake, buttercream icing, fondant lamb, fence, and flowers. 12 x 18

Oval Pirouette

Not specifically a Christmas cake...but it was for OUR Christmas dinner. Almond Sour Cream white cake, chocolate pudding filling, Chocolate BC icing, Cappuccino Pirouette cookie sides, and poured ganache on top. Pretty Tasty!

Blue Shower Cake

Brides's colors are Blue/Brown. Chocolate fudge cake with chocolate BC filling, blue BC icing and cornelli lace. Fondant Ribbon roses and BC accents in darker slate blue.

Birthday Sheetcake

Chocolate sheetcake with edible image, fondant flowers, buttercream icing and borders. Ganache drizzles over the top shell border. Nothing heroic...:-)

Small oval cake with image of the birthday girl MANY years ago. Buttercream icing with royal pansies. Chocolate cake.

Ganache Wedding

Three tiered yellow cakes with chocolate BC fillings, borders, and filagree work, vanilla BC icing, and poured ganache tops. Fresh flower topper provided by bride.

Little Birthday Cake

Small oval layer with BC icing and fondant flowers. Cornelli lace on sides hide the fact that I hate smoothing icing. Covering it all up is my game!

Farm Animal Shower

Actually decorated this for a friend! She baked the cake and I scanned the mom-to-be's nursery wallpaper border and made edible image animals. All BC icing....White basketweaved sides....

Curious George

My first non-photo edible image cake. Scanned the customer's napkin and then contour cut the image before applying. Half chocolate and half white cake with BC icings. I'm in love with this oval pan!

Edible 30Th

Half Chocolate half vanilla 12 x 18. All buttercream icing. Edible image collage. (I'm forcing all my customers to purchase EI's so I can play with my new printer!!!!!!)
