I did this for a 16 year old boy who got a gray extended cab Silverado pickup for his birthday. The cake was pound cake so I could carve it. Covered in chocolate and regular fondant flavored with cotton candy flavoring.
Original design based on a local pumpkin patch. Cake is a half sheet cake done in chocolate, torted with chocolate buttercream and decorated with fondant accents. Birthday girl wanted all the aspects of her party at the pumpkin patch on the cake. TFL

This is a 2 layer chocolate 9" cake covered in fondant. The ladybug is made with a half ball pan. The mom had purchased a ladybug shirt with hot pink ladybugs and requested the cake to match.
This is a 12" square topped with an 8" sq. Both layers covered in fondant and decorated with zebra stripes coming from a wedding cake design. The guitar on top is out of fondant to resemble Hannah Montana's guitar with a gum paste butterfly perched on the edge.
I made this for a friend's teenage daughter that was having a slumber party. I got lots of inspiration from other cakes on CC. Thanks. Her favorite colors were pink and brown. Cake frosted in buttercream with fondant accents.
I based this design on the cake from 50 Easy Party Cakes, but used a ball cake for the body. He is sitting on a chocolate cake lily pad. Everything covered in fondant. Thanks to the other frog cake posters.
Idea for cake taken from wonderful pictures on CC. Used 7 egg pound cake to make the 8" round that I used for the body and covered in fondant. Base cake is 11" x 15" with custom colored BC to match the graham cracker crumbs on top. Pond is colored gel and edible rocks.

This was a chocolate cake filled with cream cheese, whipped topping and oreo cookies. This cake was for a 1 year old boy and I made a mini version for a crash cake. Didn't get a pic of that.
I used a football pan for this one and added the fins to the cake board. My son loved it.
This was my first wedding cake.
I used a 12" sq and stacked an 8" sq on it. I used satin ice fondant in white to cover each cake. I made this for a 5 year old girl's birthday, but it could be great for an adult too.
I took three 6" rounds and stacked them and pegged them. I covered them with chocolate satin ice fondant. Then I took 1 layer that was an 8" and covered it with white fondant. I added a white fondant label after I had written all of the details on it. It was hard because there was so much writing that the buttercream was drying and some of the lettering was falling off when I applied the label to the cake. Lots of learning on this cake.
I did this for a friend's open house and celebration of her first year in business. The bottom is a two layer 9" round covered in white satin ice fondant and then cornelli lace over that. The top layer is two layer 6" cake covered in pink fondant. The roses are made of fondant as well with a bead border.
