Matt And Molly's Wedding
This is a wedding cake that I made for my brother and his wife. Buttercream with fondant accents. They wanted crazy colors - so they got crazy colors. Had to store the cake overnight at the venue. Was so hot out that some of the buttercream got squooshed. I had wanted to add more detail after stacking- like adding an outline to the "ooze" over the top of the tiers- but I ran out of time before I had to go get my hair done. Funny thing is I ended up sitting around the hotel for 2 hours waiting for all the other bridesmaids to be ready- Could have used that time on the cake. But my brother and his wife loved it regardless.

Last Minute Wedding Cake
I was asked by a friend of a friend to make this last minute wedding cake.(Bride did not know that you couldn't order a wedding cake 1 week before the wedding!!) WASC 10', 8" and 6" with buttercream and a ribbon around each tier. Also my first attempt at fondant roses. This was the first time I ahd to deal with sweatting buttercream. The cake ended up having its own fan at the reception.

Octopus At The Beach
This is a 3d octupus cake that I made for a fondant covered cake challenge at work. The sand is made out of crushed cookies, the sea weed is made of fruit rollups and the starfish are sugar cookies. Had some problems covering the round Octopus with fondant and keeping it smooth.

Elmo Birthday
A cake I made for a coworkers son's birthday. Made with the wilton 3D bear pan. I thought that in the end it turned out looking like Tully on Sesame street not Elmo. The father of the Birthday boy did not seem to like the cake at all when he picked it up. all he said was "Hmmm, OK". I did'nt think it turned out THAT BAD!!!
