Birthday cake for my niece. She is very into penguins at the moment. There was one penguin on the cake for her and each girl she invited to her party.
Made for a cake auction at my nephews school for Halloween. It is all edible. The scarecrow is made using a ice cream cone as a base.
Made for my parents 50th anniversary dinner. They were married the day after Thanksgiving so we decided to go with a fall theme to add some color to the "golden" anniversary
Was made for a 100th birthday. Quite the challenge since the folks gave me very little direction or input.
Took my own route for course III. Our instructor gave us a lot of creative freedom.
Just a different view of my final for course II
Made for church group luncheon. Just a whimsical little treat for Christmas
Just a different view of the same cake.
This was the first cake I did after completing the wilton courses.
Made for a "Hula" birthday party. The top is fondante, the flowers (even the lai and the headpiece) are royal icing and the skirt was put on with the grass tip.
A cake made for a friends husband who just made Chief in the US Navy. I carved this from 2 stacked sheet cakes. Made the chain with fondante and the USN is simply foil covered cardboard.
I made this for a friends daughter who's birthday falls on the fourth of July. She loves barbie and wanted something patriotic. Her daddy was deployed at the time so I used the yellow ribbon to tie that in. I used a full sized barbie w/ fondante top and star decorated skirt.
