Baby shower cake for a close friend...used the De Beers diamond commerical of "Past, Present, & Future" - See subsequent pics for close ups and details.
Just had to share!! My 6 yr old frosted and decorated her 1st cake...cake made in soup can and she used my extra royal icing flowers & butterflies from my Wilton class II. She iced the whole thing pretty smoothly with a butter knife all by herself!!
Inspired by all the sculpting and molding that I've seen on CC lately...Got my inspiration while flipping channels and saw peacocks on the Discovery channel.
I got inspired by all the recent cakes that have sculpting on it...I did a practice cake for a friend just came home with a newborn...used whatever colors I already had. I used a design that I've seen here before (sorry can't remember who it was)
Just a quick cake for Bunco nite with the girls...buttercream lemon flavored also
French Vanilla creamer used to make cake; White chocolate mixed in with Vanilla buttercream for filling; fondant covering; royal icing flowers; gumpaste bouquet on top; buttercream decorations
I love how this cake turned out...if I do say so myself!! I painted the royal icing pieces (the fence & the butterflies to add some depth and interest)...I used tip 233 to give some grassy feel to the "garden" and fell in love with tip 233!
This is one of the first cakes I've ever decorated!!
Daughter's 3rd Birthday party
