Grooms cake for a DFW Firefighter that married in Springfield. All of the helmet is cake covered in fondant, Bill and shield is fondant. Reflective decals are lime green fondant with some texture that has been wet and have sparkles applied to give it that reflective look. The helmet is sitting on a 14" foam dummy covered with fondant strips to give the efect of a rolled hose. I use a real helmet (Mine) as a pattern.

Combat Boots
A returning soldiers boots made from RC covered in fondant, then built with fondant piecies in the same way you would make a pair of boots. Used several pictures of the grooms own boots as a guide. Aitbushed the tan colored fondant with several coats of tan food color. Strings, eyelets are all fondant extruded from a tool purchased at Hobby Lobby made for clay.

Helicopter Grooms Cake
This piece was mostly RC. Molded in to the likeness of a Bell 206L helicopter. Started with a stainless steel fram o resemble the landing skid, 1/4" tubing with a 3/16" plywood base tp spport the cake wired and hot glued to the frame. Used 72 RC bars to fore the body. Iced entire cake to take out the rough texture, covered with fondant and airbrushed.

Made for dad. used one half sheet cut body from pattern of my father in laws stratocaster. Covered with fondant and attached the neck which is styrofoam covered with fondant. Strings are tied to dowes, Strings ar esilver embroidery string found at WM. The look is in the detail. Took gum paste and made knobs, pick-ups and bridge frets,

Fire Fighter Hacker Grooms Cake
Red fondant helmet made with standard three eight inch, two inches deep ,one 6 inch dome pan was used to crest offf the top. I use a 80/20% mix of gum paste and fondant to form the bill or bottom of the helmet. I curl up the sides and place stuff under it to keep it up. Once the cake is cut I make the ribs from fondant that form the structure of the helmet itself. I pin them into place with long tooth picks. Drape with the fondant, Carefully form the fomdant around the ribs. I made the yellow burk shield from sugar, Becareful its hot!

Cat In The Hat
Cat was made for a local event. Idea was to make a cake that would depic any cake. Cake was made of three 10" inch white cake layers. The hat brim is a 3/16" piece of plywood cut down and to hang just outside of the ears. The hat is five, 8" cakes. We have a four legged cake system between the top of the head and the brim of the hat. The entire hat is lowered onto a 5/8" dow that is hard mounted into the cake board. Covered entire cake with fondant., Hand painted the eyes and hair with food color. eight
