Happy Birthday Gaby!
Sheet cake with bright green BC icing. Made the stars with fondant couples days in advance. Went to http://www.nickjr.com/party/cake_finder/index.jhtml for Dora's face. Printed it out and then xerox'd it using "mirror image" so it would be backwards to use for me pipe it and then lay it on cake. Then I used star tip. Pretty easy. Dora's face just took a while because so many stars in different colors.

I Love Purple!!
2 - 10"x3" deep cakes for height. THen iced with dark purple BC. Made white fondant daisies that I placed in an egg carton to get the curve. Then I just stick them all over the sides and top sparatically. Add a yellow dot of BC for the centers. VERY EASY! Weather change wilted my daisies. Daisies were dried and hard when I put them on the cake. The next day for the shower they were wilted. Guess it looks more realistic. haha!

Cake Contest - 2Nd Place Most Decorative
Covered in white fondant. Made bow loops in all different sizes and widths with bright fondant pack and pastel green. Made stars in 2 different sizes and put on wire. Then curled wire and put a fondant ball at the end. Got that idea from "Ace of Cakes". Thanks Duff!! Rolled up little balls of pastel green fondant for the border. That took forever but it looked awesome when I was done.

Its A Girl!
Hot pink is MMF. I made curlies, daisies and bow loops with Wilton pastel fondant pack about 3 days before so they could dry good. Make sure to tent your icing the same color as the bow so when you put it together and its pink you're not using white icing to "glue" cause then it'll show. Just start sticking curlies all over to cover up mistakes. Put daisies on the sides to cover mistakes too. Squirt a dot of pink BC for the centers. Then I rolled out MMF for the braided border. Not to hard.
