a few months ago TLC contacted me to feature my cakes on their show...they asked me for a few of my brides to interview for their show Four Weddings... The ended up choose a groom and are doing a grooms special it will air in February. the cake was filmed yesterday and features grecian ladies and piping.. they groom was speechless when he saw it for about three minutes then said i have to get christine (bride) he pulled her in the room and she cried...i was so happy as they are a wonderful couple.
this cake is wrapped in layers of fondant. i did one with flowers and one without as she didnt know if she wanted to add flowers... is it just me or are brides more nuts these days.
the bride sent me this sketch... two days before the wedding she changed her mind on one of the layers,,, and sent another sketch. (ill post that one next) i changed it for a fee. what would you do?
this was the cake that went with the suitcake cake that the planner grabbed with both hands and tried to take apart.. she asked for my card to refer me and i got hers... NOw i have her name if i hear anything from the bride!! the flowers are fondant and gumpaste
here is the inside and outside of the turkey cake i made to bring to my brothers house. when i walked in my sister in law said you bought a turkey!! im making turkey!! i just laughed! thou it did get 2 fingers stuck in it by kids to make sure it was a cake.
