Matt's Graduation Cake
This was a double-layer full sheet cake (FOUR 18" x 12") that was half chocolate and half yellow with a 8" yellow cake on top. The frosting was Extra special buttercream and the logos were an edible image. This was done for our 4th grader's Big Buddy that he had for 2 years, a very sweet kid! He wants to go into medical missions and it was our honor to do his cake as his gift.

Groom's Cake
This cake was a full sheet Sara Lee Banana Cake with Cream Cheese frosting. Even though this was a groom's cake, they wanted the bride's parents' anniv. recognized. The groom grew up loving Sara Lee's Banana Cake and I finally found a copycat recipe. He loved it, but banana cake does nothing for me! This was the only cake served at the reception and it went fast!

Kimber's Wedding
This was my second wedding cake ever. The flowers in the middle and on the top were store bought gumpaste. I was nervous because the pillars were newly bought and not stable and the top tier was leaning. Despite my lack of experience with wedding cakes, my friend loved it. We were upset because the caterers only served the groom cake and left this uncut!

Multiple Birthdays
This cake was a half-sheet cake that was half white and half chocolate. This was my first fondant cake (I worked on in tandem with the heart cake - also my first fondant cake). The cake was covered with Michele's fondant but the accent colors were MMF. Thank you to all the CC people who helped me with ideas. I had been in the hospital with migraines and had no ideas how to decorate the cake for multiple birthdays. I think the pain robbed me of any creativity I might have possessed!

Heart Cake
Strawberry Cake with Michele's Fondant and RI. Ribbon roses were MMF. This was my first fondant cake. I couldn't get the spray of roses to look like I wanted. This cake was in memory of someone's aunt who died. I couldn't find the appropriate photo album so I put it under Mother's Day cakes.

Bugs Bunny
This was a chocolate cake with Extra Special Buttercream Frosting. I find this a hard cake to do, especially the face because I am NOT artistic, but my son wanted this cake, and I tried not to disappoint him. After I finished it, he begged me to have Bugs eat a carrot...he was very gracious to me for what the end result looked like!
