Max
I made this cake of Max for my granddaughter's 3rd B-day. I had enlarged a picture of Max and then traced the outline on top of cake. Filled in (with star tip) going from the picture. Eyes, however, are from the picture, i.e., paper. I cannot draw eyes ... always look creepy. Need to practice those.

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes
My granddaughter wanted cupcakes in ice cream cones for her 7th b-day. I made her the same thing last year, but this year I made them with a twist. Instead of baking the cake right in the cones (they went a bit soggy last year ), I made the cupcakes 1st and then put them on the cones. The cones themselves were decorated with royal icing & sprinkles. As a surprise, I put a braided bracelet inside each cone. To transport, put a dab of royal icing on the tray, then place the cones on the icing.

Fairy Cake
A cake I made for my son's 4 year-old daughter. I think I went a little overboard with the flowers and should have taken the picture without the candles. It was cherry chip (that's the only flavour they want!) with a vanilla pudding/whip cream filling and buttercream frosting. I used coloured coconut and colorflo water and added the fairy ornaments.

Soccer Cake For 40Th B-Day
My first attempt using the soccer ball mold. Turned out a bit lopsided but the person who it was for loved it. There is a lot of cake here. Chocolate cake with chocolate pudding/whip cream filling, chocolate buttercream edged with piped chocolate ganache. Only for chocolate lovers!

Fairy Cake
A cake I made for my oldest granddaughter. Was a sheet cake (cherry chip) with a banana pudding/whipped cream filling. The cake is accented with small flowers and stems and meringue mushrooms. The kids love these! and they are so easy to make! The main decoration is the fairy ornament, which made a wonderful keepsake. I've made fairy cakes for 2 other granddaughters with a fairy ornament on their's as well. My youngest one will probably get a fairy cake of her own when she's a bit older.
