ALove the bed cake tiddy :-)

Gray, I think the answer is clear. You need to get another job, far, far away from bride of crazy town!

Maisie, can you not fill and ice the top tier with ganache? It's really lovely in a vanilla sponge. Either that or vanilla buttercream and ganache cover?

AFab cake Tiddy! I love the valance.

Is ganache really nice with sponge Lizzy? I love sponge an I love ganache but didn't think they'd be nice together.

Who suggested chocolates on top of m4rvelgeeks emergency cake? Was it roxy? Anyway, whoever it was I hope you don't mind if I steal your idea? I was going to put maltesers around the base of the top tier and on the top too. Posh chocolates will be much nicer and grown up tho won't they? Besides, I don't like maltesers much! :-D

ADefinitely maisie, it's lovely :-) You could always give the sponge a splash of Cointreau sugar syrup as well for an orangey hit, but I like it as is. It goes down well at the wedding fairs too so it's not just me :-)

Thanks Petitecat

Maisie vanilla cake and chocolate ganache sounds good to me and I think brown fondant would look good on top to if you need a plan b. Yes it was me who put posh chocs on top of the cake here is a pic so you can see what I did.

Box of chocolates cake

Grey OMG that women sounds a nightmare.

Tiddy cake is fab as always I love what you wrote on the board. I don't know how you do them so quick.

Hi Jo like the boat and duck really cute.

I don't think I've missed anyone but sorry if I have.

AOoh, that sounds lovely Lizzy! Trouble is I've spent so much already I don't really want to buy a whole bottle of something I might never use again. Shame I've already made actually, I could have just made orangey flavoured sponge couldn't I. I've got posh (by posh I mean expensive!) orange extract tho, could I make a syrup with that and squirt it on them?

Love your boat Jo.

I think I did post it before but couldn't find it in the thread photos, steal away it was actually a cake from my Carol Deacon book but I changed it quite a bit to posh it up and added the posh chocs. You could make an orange sugar syrup to use on the cake.

Off to the kitchen I determinedly go! G'nite everyone. :-)
