AHi K8..wow they are alike! Mine is 4 months old now her name is Pip and she's quite a character. How old is yours? It is the same breed as mine isn't it ... Lhasa Apso?

She was only 9weeks old in the photo.

AHello all, just scooting on again for a minute in between cakes, flowers, banisters and emails to builders!

Congratulations Nicola! How lovely to have that sprung on you. Your ring is beautiful too, I love the photo of it on the post.

I made my wedding cake, and I'm so pleased I did, so I say if you think you can cope with the stress go for it! I should say that the cake wasn't made actually for our wedding as we were married in Vegas (remind me to post a photo of the truly beautiful cake the hotel did for us :-D), but it was got our reception at home, so a bit less stressful than if we'd been dealing with the wedding too. Even so, I ended up finishing it off in my wedding dress as we had all the food to deal with for the party :-D Anyway, do it do it!

Sorry to hear Mr tidy hasn't been well, I missed what it is but I hope it's not serious.

Maisie, is that you being lovely sending a card to lynne's mum by any chance? Sounds like something you'd do :-)

I know I've missed loads, sorry chaps, back soon! Hope everyone has a lovely few days :-)

AThanks Lizzy, I think I'll definitely plan to make my own cake. Just be prepared for me freaking out nearer the time!

I'll have to look out for those tins Kelsey. I usually give home made gifts in a little basket covered with cellophane but tins would make a nice change, plus I've been finding it so hard to find any nice baskets this year.

I'm itching to do some Xmas baking. I just wish I could find a spare minute at the moment!

AHi Lizzy! Hope things are going ok, forgot to say well done for putting up your banisters yourselves, I'd never be able to do anything like that!! Ooo yes please to Vegas cake pic, which hotel did you get married in??

Sugar you go for it if you want to make your cake, we will all be here to help if you need us :) x

Nanny, that is too cute! Love it!

Well my gelatin drops are looking way better than the cake lace sequins so far, going to leave them overnight, but thinking that's the way to go, the cake lace is just totally the wrong colour, very disappointing :/

Hi all,

Lizzy, some progress with the housebuild I hope?

Nanny, those trainers are fab. I thought they were real too!

Mel, glad your gelatine drops are coming along better!

I ordered some cake stuff from ryepack this afternoon, and they sent me an email at 5.30 to say it's been dispatched. I assume that means they'll be here tomorrow or the next day!

omigodomigodomigod my airbrush arrives tomorrow!!!

AThank you all, it isn't quite finished yet as need to put a little bit of a black fondant under the heel to lift it up abit, it isn't quite the shape i'm after but as you all know, modelling is a PITA.

AEvening all. :-) Same old story I'm afraid, I'm gona try to catch up but you know what my memory's like!

Gorgeous trainer nanny! I thought it was a real little baby one.

Mel I'm going to be awkward, I like the colour of the sequins on the right best but the ones on the left look more like sequins I think.

Sugarluva you have to make your own cake! Can you imagine it? One of us making our own wedding cake, all the times we've stressed and worried over other peoples cakes, all the times we've helped each other and admired each other's creations. It'll be brilliant! :-) I meant to ask yesterday, did you have any idea your fiancé (:-D) was going to propose or was it a complete surprise?

Are you just a teeny bit excited Jean?! :-D

How are you chezzabelle? Hope you got to theatre eventually and hope you're not in too much pain. x

Tiddy, any sign? You can't ignore it and hope it'll go away mun! :-D

Lovely gift tins Kuuushi. :-)

Reminder for Lizzy: post a photo of your wedding cake.

My minds gone blank but I think I did quite well today.

Here are some of the kids cakes. I'm so proud of them I could burst! :-)

AAah Maisie they are so cute, I bet they had a blast making those! Are you going back again? How did the remake cake mix do?

LOL I know what you mean re sequins, the left ones are the CL mat, the right are my gelatin dots. I agree the mat ones are the right shape, but my aim for the cake is red sparkle, so I think the right are going to work best this time around :) Getting stawberry jelly to test that out tomorrow, really hope that works so they taste nice too :)

AThanks guys. :-)

It was a lot of work nanny but so worth it. And the kids worked so much harder than I did. :-)

Chuffed is the understatement of the year Kathy. :-)

They had a lot of fun making them mel, they were excited all morning waiting for me but settled down and worked really well when I got there. No firm date to go back but I really hope I will. Rebake went well and I had enough leftover for a 6 inch which has been in the fridge overnight and is in the oven now.

Tiddy, lmao and smh! :-D You wouldn't need to hire the kids, they'd come to help for the love of it. And you wouldn't get a more hardworking, earnest bunch. Being at that school really puts things into perspective. That might sound odd because I've got Leah but I don't notice it as much with her, she's mine, she's with me all the time, her disability is just normal life for us. But when I see other disabled kids I realise all over again how difficult every single thing is for them, how hard they work to understand and communicate, how the easiest things in the world for us are huge achievements for them. I'm so proud of them. I'm going on a bit aren't i?! I'll shut up now. :-)

My Sarah's on the radio talking live tomorrow mornight, 6.50 I believe, radio Wales, such a shame she hasn't got a job after all this.

AGood god don't ever feel you need to shut up maisie, that's what I love about our little group, we talk about our kids, what they do, however small, it's an achievement for them, your very proud of leah, if you didn't say so then, well that would be so wrong.

She's achieved so much because of you maisie, don't ever forget that. Xx
