How do you make letters and numbers in fondant rope? Can someone share a tutorial?

I don't use fondant. I use straight gumpaste, which dries much stronger. I extrude the gumpaste through a clay gun, form the letters and glue the pieces together with gum glue. It needs at least 2 days to dry properly.

I have been wondering the same thing. Thanks for sharing your beautfiul pics and tips, Diane. I am not quite ready for such a large cake yet, but when I am, I definately want to use that method. I love the way it looks!

Do you use the small clay gun or do you use the commercial one?

I don't mind you asking at all - unless you expect me to actually remember. LOL I think I got it from Sugarcraft.com. I've had it for several years.
