Spottydog-

OK. So with the older two... I was so good! I read all the books and helped them everyday. icon_confused.gif Now it comes to my 2 year old. I have decided I don't care. She is the most stubborn little girl on the planet, and she will train when she wants to. If she is 26 and still wearing diapers, that's fine with me. I give up. I hate potty training. I will not do it, and that's that.

So I guess I needed to vent a little too?? I so feel your pain! I keep telling her that I will make her a potty cake when she learns to go. icon_lol.gif Bribery works too right? icon_rolleyes.gif

Good luck and know that you are so not alone! Feel free to PM me and we can cry together!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I just had to put in a message on here. Reading this brings back so many memories. My son is now 26, and if I'm remembering correctly he was very easy to train potty. but I have to tell you this story! After he was trained and was using the big potty, well he was kinda short and had to stand on his tippy toes to hit the pot, and he just kinda layed his little pee'er on the rim of the toilet. One day he went flying to the bathroom and put the lid up and layed it up there and bang the lid came back down, he hadn't got it all the way up and it fell back down on him. Poor little guy was screaming, and for the next couple of days he was soooo swollen. Well I figured it was time to get him a little step and from then on he always made sure he held that lid up. He would kill me if he knew I was telling this story icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif He hasn't seemed to had suffered any ill effects from it.
Just had to share.

My 2 yr old daughter refused to go potty for the longest time in the big potty. She was fine on the little one on the floor, but was terrified of the big one. I finally got the reason out of her. Her 4 yr old brother told her that if she fell in he would flush her. BIG HELP!!!! lol.
It took a whole week to convince her that I wouldn't let her get flushed.
Sometimes the key to potty training is to figure out their thought process. They might have a good reason for not wanting to go potty...just my 2 cents.
