I had to share this with all of you. My husband came home at lunch today & our 2 year old daughter told him she wanted an Elmo birthday cake today for herself. Her Birthday is not till next month. My husband told her she would have it by the time she got home from school. I work at her school in the afternoons and we do not get home till 7. We walked in the door & he had baked her chocolate cupcakes with white frosting and an Elmo character action figure on top. He had the presenation & every thing. Guess he has helped me one to many times with orders hahah. It just reminded me how lucky we are to have him. And no ladies you can't have him! ![]()

I bet your daughter was ecstatic. your husband sounds great
Your a lucky woman. I am too. Not only is my DH my best friend he is my best critic, my best encourager and my best praiser. He always tells me he is amazed at what I can do and wishes he was artistic-------------------WELL I've talked him into learning to bake Guess he figured if he ever wanted to see me he'd have to spend time in the kitchen LOL ![]()
sounds like we are all very blessed
My daughter was so thrilled!
You better hold on to him real tight!!!!!!!!!
My DH is the sweetest too. He helps with the baking, mixing the icing colours in, choosing the colours to go with the cakes and he just has to critique each cake......oh and of course tasting everything.
I think we are really forturnate.
I have a great one, too...
He's already made home made cards for our girls for V-day and printed them, shopped for and wrapped our anniversary gift for our night out Friday (it's our 16th anniv.), AND bought 3 pretty boxes of chocolates that are on the mantle as I type.
He's also my biggest cake supporter (though he dislikes cakes lol) and helped me pull off the "best cake booth ever" at a recent bridal festival, no expense spared, found rental carpet and drapes, lighting, video screen, display etc. All I had to do was make display cakes and show up!
Oh, and my early birthday present is a week trip to south FL with the kids to see their grandma (my mom) next month.
Dear Husband, indeed...
20 years together and I still adore him!
That's awesome!!!!
I hope my next husband is like this. If not...can I clone yours? ![]()

Thanks for sharing! I love hearing things like this rather than blasting our men. My DH is a huge blessing as well. He helps out whenever possible. I was sick a couple of weeks ago and had to make 1000 cake truffles, so while I was in bed he baked and crumbled all the cakes I needed.
awwww that was so sweet of him. My hubby has never done anything like that and he doesn't help but he loves to watch me decorate cakes and he's my biggest fan...he's alwasy bragging on me. So even though he doesn't "help" or bake" he is still a sweetie to encourage me the way he does.
That is so cute! My hubby likes to help me with the design and architectural aspect
He was a bg help in the look of my 'citation jet' cake - since he is a pilot he wanted it very accurate! lol! He always says he hopes our daughters are artistic like their mommy! And he is 100% all the way about me starting a business he even offered to run the business aspect of it - which is a relief, he is a brilliant businessman
- I am not so ![]()

3 cheers for good men! They are few and far between!
My Dh is a sweeite too. He FLIES a Citation jet and the most helpful thing he does is stay out of the way when I'm working on my cakes. He likes being my taster though. His favorite is the corwns off the cakes. I cut those suckers off and he swopes in for the kill. lol
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones as well. He takes me and picks me up from my classes. Carries all my heavy stuff to and from class. My best critique, best friend and cake taster
And what made me really happy was he bought me the 50-piece cake decorating tool caddy! *Sigh* I'm so blessed!
You are very lucky. My hubby at first didn't like to have to much to do with my cakes, but since I have gotten more into fondant he likes to help. He also is my best critic. And if I am doing a scene on a cake he always tells me where to put things! Thank god I have him! He keeps me sane!
As I keep telling my daughter there are great men out there just like her Dad and Grandpa! It is so nice to hear about these stories. It just goes to show that "Love is in the Air"! And so close to Valentine's Day! Keep you men ladies because without them we are nothing!
lucky lady, lucky girl
i used to think my DH was hot too, until he got me preggo again... and now that I am 37 weeks, I could strangle him, heheheheheheheh JK!
He is a wonderful man who not only is my favorite critic, but also loves to partake in any leftover cakes or scraps.. sometimes he will say, is that cake on the counter for someone or for me? MEN....
