Hi all,
I have to make a baby shower cake for tomorrow but I'm having a hard time coming up with any ideas. They just wanted a sheet cake with minimal decoration, but I would like to do a little more than that. I was thinking of doing a chocolate transer or a FBCT...but I'm just not sure what kind of image to look for. I did see a lot of cute baby shower cakes but most are stacked. It is for one of my husbands co-workers, he is a teacher and I want to make something nice as it would be a great way to advertise. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! THANK YOU!!-Alison

Type in "onesie" in the search box. I love the little sheet cakes with fondant onsies and booties. If you don't hav any fondant, you can make a onesie on it with buttercream. They look really easy and I will be making one like this in March! I hope this helps!

I have two simple sheet cake ones in my pics. One had a few fondant decorations and got tons of praise at the baby shower I took it to, and one of them just had some flowers and said God Bless Isabella. Nothing fancy on that one at all.

Have you seen the clothes line cakes? I'm doing one for my son's teacher in a round design but there are a lot up here in the sheet cake design. Here's a link to a fav...

Do a search on clothes line. Some say 'Oh Boy' and they trail the line from the h over to the b and have little baby clothes hanging from the line. Others have a line between two trees, and they're girl, boy, or generic!!! They're adorable. I can't wait to do this cake for next week. You can get as fancy or keep it simple as you like. There are a lot of photos out there...

Let us know what you decide and be sure to post a pic.

I did one that was a FBCT of the party invitation. A simple teddy bear but cute. You can use any baby shower invitations or wrapping paper for ideas, even paper plates. I have a pic but it's not uploaded. If you really want to see it, let me know.

I think a FBCT of their invitation would be fantastic! They would be surprised and happy!
