Is it possible to decorate a wedding cake and then freeze it for a couple weeks?? I am supposed to do a wedding cake for my sister in law I will just be 38 weeks pregnant at her wedding and if I could do it a few weeks ahead of time it would help me out? Any suggestions?????

Most definitely. just wrap the layers well in saran wrap. wrap and freeze the layers individually.

I can freeze it even after it is decorated???If I wrapped it wouldn't that ruin the icing job?

if it's bc, it's ok to freeze it. i would just make sure the icing had crusted up a bit. i know some people put the decorated cake in a box, then wrap that box up really well with saran, then will put that inside of a plastic bag/trash bag. sorry, i didnt' notice at first you said "freeze a decorated cake"

Yes, I would take it out the night before the wedding, leave it totally wrapped in the box until it's thawed. That way the condensation will stay on the box, not the cake.
