Where do you all find the time to make or to practice? I enjoy decorating but I just do not have much time these days. It takes time to bake then cool then decorate. There are so many things that I want to make and just do not have the time. Any suggestions? TIA MC

I can't decorate until the little ones are asleep....I usually have them in the kitchen eating dinner while I bake.....I always freeze my cakes (they become so moist that way)

The folowing night I will start decorating. If I do it while they are awake, they will just want to help and ask me a zillion questions and try to sneak some icing.....so I prefer the solitude.

I usually bake my cakes really early in the morning, let them rest threw the day and I decorate late into the night, lol. I guess it all just depends on what time you have free, and to do some things here and there. I do not finish my cakes all in one day unless they are simple with not much decoration.

My kids are all in school, so since most of the orders I get are for Saturday I can bake a decorate whiloe they are in school. As long as I save my son some icing I have what so ever. The girls don't want to help so much anymore.

I bake cakes at night, then freeze them. I do the decorating during nap time and when my kids are in bed. I always plan plenty of time to get my cakes done.
