i have this book "beginners guide to cake decorating" and in it there is a recipe for sugarpaste.. one of the ingrediants is liquid glucose.. i hunted everywhere for this and finally found it in a health store only it seems its one of those hard to find things with no english written on the label, had to take the guys word for it that it is what i asked for.. so what im wondering is.. can you tell me, is liquid glucose this clear sticky looking stuff? and what is its purpose in sugar paste? does it like.. hold it together or.. what does it do?

thanks a bunch!

Glucose is "clear sticky looking stuff". You should be able to find it in Hobby Lobby or Michaels as it is also sold by Wilton. I don't like to pay the extra cost of glucose, so I substitute corn syrup instead and just decrease the water a little bit. Glucose is basically corn syrup in a concentrated form.
