I am so sorry I cant help you... I love crepes, but never have made them with a maker..... maybe if I push this to the top someone will see it and help ya.
I'm just seeing this topic now, so maybe you've gone ahead and purchased. I'll give you my two cents just in case you haven't.
I make crepes a lot and I lived in France for a few years, so I saw how many people made them. I have never seen a crepe maker, but I'm not sure how it can be easier than just a pan. Plus, I think most people have lots of kitchen gadgets that are used a lot in the beginning but eventually are dust collectors.
I have a crepe pan from Williams Sonoma that is not at all fantastic. It's awful to keep seasoned properly, so I've given up on using it for crepes and instead use it to toast nuts and brown spices on the stove top. For that it's fabulous! Now I make crepes using a small, non-stick frying pan. Works like a charm!!!
On the other hand, if this crepe maker is really a tall, nicely accented Jean-Paul or Pierre, can you add my name to the list??? Just don't tell my hubby. ![]()
