Anyone have an idea or two? I thought I saw somewhere on here on how to make a dove. Or maybe it was on the web somewhere. I can't remember. I'm thinking of making a peacock and want a general instruction on the body and head.

THANKS............

HI

Ok, I am not expert, but I have watched many demos, mostly Bronwen. first the body is a made from a ball of fondant, then you use the heels of your hands and turn it into a cone or tear drop shape. this is the body. the head is a ball, you can make the beak and all later. This is how I would approach it.

Hope this helps.

I just make a simple bluebird. I know it's nothing like a peacock or anything. But, I'll tell you what I did. The body a hunk of fondant rolled into a ball and made into a slight tear drop shape. The pointy part of the tear was flattened a little and that was the tale. Then the chest piece was done with a small amount of fondant rolled out very thin. I just kind of cut a circlish shape out and messed with it until I got the shape I wanted. Then I made little slits around the edges to feather it. The head was just a round ball with edible marker dots for eyes and a triangle beak. And the wings were like flat tear drops that were turned up and out a little. It was pretty simple. Make sure post photos. I would love to see a dove or peakcock done. HTH
