Rolled Buttercream? Never used it or made it. I see the new contest is Halloween ought to be gory huh.
Rolled buttercream is basically shortening, corn syrup, powdered sugar and vanilla...(I might have missed an ingredient or two..LOL) Anyway, it's similar to fondant in that you roll it out and lay it on the cake. Personally, I don't care for it..It's way to soft, tempermental and I don't care for the taste. I do know some people who use it exclusively and have great success with it. When you put it on a cake it can get really shiney due to the oil content, but some people dust it with powdered sugar to get that matte look.
I see. Yeah got a recipe off the recipe section on CC. I do not know about this. I am not that crazy about fondant though I have used it with good success. Thanks for the tip.
