Powdered sugar or cornstarch .... I didn't do the 'puff' route, I have a shaker and used that.

a brand new never used knee hight works and is so cheap!

Also, wilton sells a new "Puff" just for this.

I put mine in a clean nylon stocking and tied it off. Worked like a charm.

I put my cornstarch in one of those throw away wash clothes. Sometimes I was told to double it...it depends on the holes in the cloth.

I know it worked great!

have fun and good luck!!! icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Wilton reccomends equal parts icing sugar and cornstarch for your dusting pouch.

I bought a little plastic container of knee highs at Wal-Mart for 33cents. I use cornstarch in mine and I love it when working with fondant, works beautifully.

Take note when your filling your puff...

Corn starch dries fondant quickly - it takes moisture out of things, however powdered sugar tastes better.

To dry fondant pieces, use cornstarch as it is cheaper.

To roll out your fondant for covering a cake, use powdered sugar for the taste (and also you dont want it to dry on you quickly or it will crack)

FOr general use, use the 50/05 mix

Hope that helps!
