All these beautiful cakes look gorgeous, but what's it worth if the cake inside isn't exactly good? I need some ideas of good scratch cakes, with fillings, also if you have any ideas for 2 different cakes in one tier, it would be great. And, some without any dairy (milk, sour cream, butter, etc.) would be a great help!! I know that's asking for alot, but I'm hoping someone out there can help me...

I think most CCers strive to make their cakes taste good...where did you get the idea that they aren't or that cakes started from a box aren't good?

There are many recipes on this site that are good.
