This was interesting to make, since all I could think about was how much all the various colors kept reminding me of baby poop. Maybe I was just being sentimental, since my baby was turning 5. As ugly as I thought the colors were, as soon as the birthday boy walked in and looked at the cake and said "Cool! That's how I wanted it. Thanks, Mom!" all was good.

essica, Allison described it much better, but I used #4 and #5 tips to pipe the buttercream in random shapes. She used a pointed offset spatula to blend together the icing, but I had better luck using my finger after dipping it in cornstarch. The bottom border is a #21 tip with brown and green icing in the same bag, so the shell border was cammo, too.
