What is better to use? A flower nail or a baking core? I tried the baking core once but it was so difficult to get the cake out of the middle of it. I ended up just taking a cupcake and shoving it down into the hole! LOL!
I didn't know about the flower nail until I read it on this site. If I remember correctly, you just grease the nail well and place it in the center.
I have always used the flower nail with great success. For larger pans I use two nails (like 14" and up) I've heard about those heating cores messing up cakes and I do quite well on my own in that dept!! LoL (just kidding...but try it, you'll like it! ![]()
How would you use the 2 flower nails for a 16" cake? I'm making one later this month and need to figure it out! Thanks! jackie
