Seems like modeling chocolate is the topic tongiht.LOL Anyway I have made a couple of batches and I want to use it to cover a Wilton football cake. Does it cover cakes good or does it tear easy. Also is there anything I can mix with to make it not shine so much. I want a dull looking football. Thanks icon_biggrin.gif [/img]

I just finished my first clay cake today and it covered well it was a little tricky getting it onto the cake but the good thing about the clay is if you do tear it - it's repairable. I had a tear in the cake I made and warmed some clay up in my hands and patched the tear and then I took my hair dryer on low heat and warmed the area and used my fondant smoother and smoothed the patch right out and you couldn't even tell.

As far as it not looking so shiney I'm not sure - sorry, maybe someone else has some tips on that.

When I covered a butterfly cake last week, I left the clay on my mat and transferred it from the mat to the cake. Peeled the clay off of the mat and on to the cake. It worked pretty good. Good Luck
