Question Sheet Cake

hi just wondering the approx....serving amount in a fullsheet cake... also does 2 11x15 pans make a fullsheet...and which way are they put together and how do you avoid having a gap between them or getting a crack in the icing where they meet.

farrah,

for me, I put together (2) 12 x 18's together to make a full sheet. I'm not sure on the approximate number of servings either because it seems that everyone has their own serving sizes or what-not. But for me my full sheets will serve 70+. I'm still a beginner but I put my two cakes together and when I ice them, I start in the middle and work around the crack to avoid a gap. Around where I live...2 11x15's work as a full sheet. You might check local bakeries and ask what the size of their full sheet cake is. Then that would give you a better idea of which pans to use. icon_smile.gif

I've only done one full sheet and I used 2 of the 11x15.

I put them side by side and trimmed the crust and glued them together with the icing.
