Does anyone ever feel like this? or is it just me?

I have the house to myself tonight and the boyfriend is out at a mates...Done all my washing and cleaning... so I have the perfect time to make some new figurines or flowers... anything that I normally dont get a chance to do at home...

I would love to go do that... but I just cant be bothered taking out all my cake decorating stuff and I know once I start I will make a huge mess that I would have to clean up afterwards as I dont have a cake decorating room yet where I can just walk out and leave all my tools out... (At the moment I use the dinner table if i have to do any work at home.)

But then again sitting on here for most of the night isnt that bad or a waste of time because Im learning so much from you lovely people...

I know what you mean Delicate, sometimes I dread going into the kitchen to make a cake. I really hate cleaning up that big mess I always make! I have to drag out all my cake decorating things and then it's a pain to stuff everything back when I get finished!! icon_lol.gif

Ditto!! I hear ya girls, I just HATE cleaning up after doing cake stuff. If I had a room FOR decorating I think I would do it alot more!! icon_redface.gificon_lol.gif

I'd decorate everyday if I had a maid. icon_lol.gif
I hate cleaning up the mess, I kind of want to make cookies today but it means cleanup.

I'm with you all on this. Before I start, I think to myself "it won't be that bad to clean up" and by the end, I'm kicking myself!. And.... it always takes me 5 times longer than I think it will.

I get to do cakes for friends and family and maybe the occasional friend of a friend so my cake decorating is very sporadic. I've a ton a cake toys to play with during my down time but I just HATE having to clean up the mess! icon_cry.gif

My home is never spotless for long anyway with a nine year old messy living here so I always ask myself "do I really want to add to the current mess?"

It's one thing to "have to" make a mess but it's a completely different matter when I'm not getting paid to be messy or clean up the mess! icon_rolleyes.gif

I also get frustrated having to take stuff out do all the work and then have to put it all away and clean up.

I am the same way, I especially dread cleaning my decorating bags or else I might play around a bit more and make fancier desserts for the family to practice decorating, new ideas etc...

Also evenings are my down time, so if I had an evening to myself I'd be lounging on the couch watching T.V., which I rarely get to do icon_razz.gif
