Below is a picture of a cake off of the michaels web site. It calls for a two layer 6x2 baking pan and its supposed to feed 32. I am going to make this cake for my cousins baby shower but I was thinking of making it out of a 8x2 baking pan to make sure that there is enough. What do ya'll think, will it look right with the 8x2 or not? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so very much. I haven't been doing cakes for very long, so each one is a new experience. I love doing them and learning new stuff. I appreciate any help I can get. I will do like you said Keliames and just make an extra block or two. When I get a chance I am going to post pictures of cakes I have done and would appreciate any input on them. Thank you all..
I think six inch would be best too! Welcome to CC.. can't wait to see yo pics!
hey i recently made blocks for a shower cake and i used a 6 in square pan 2 in deep. it took 2 layers and half of another(i sliced it in half throughthe middle and added it to the middle. i did not stack them so it took 2 1/2 sheet boards to hold them all. but there was definetly(SP) enough for everyone.here is a pic to show what i mean.. hope it helps ![]()
