My half-sheet pan always pulls from the side as it's cooling, leaving a sort of angled edge. I've tried more/less batter, more/less cool time in pan.

Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

I just fix little imperfections like that with icing. Sometimes when I stack my layers, the cake looks like an hourglass until I get the icing on.

It's basic science ..... as the cake cools, it contracts, thus pulling itself away from the sides of pan. That's why you let it sit in the pan for a few minutes before flipping it out. So it can cool and contract, pulling itself away from the sides of pan and therefore not sticking to the sides of pan when you want it to fall smoothly and easily out of the pan. I'm not sure you can changes the Laws of Physics. icon_wink.gif
