Nut Allergies And Almond Extract.....

Ok so I want to make icing from this recipe

My question is can I replace the almond extract w/ clear vanilla? The recipe says 2 TBSP of clear vanilla and then 1/4 tsp almond extract.
Will all that vanilla be to much?
Since I have people who are allergic to both peanuts & tree nuts I obvioulsy shouldn't use the almod extract........
I would just leave the almond extract out and leave it as is. If you wanted you could choose a different flavor extract that compliments your cake.
