I am using the mini stand up bear. I was using wiltons "fudge grooms cake" recipe ,and i followed the directions of using crisco and flour because i don't have anything else.

You think crisco spray or the mixture of flour, oil, and crisco will do better than just crisco and flour?

Any tips because it seems like even with generous amounts of non-stick things it still woudl have stuck.

How can i make the cake denser(it seems like the cake is to light) ,but without adding amy chemically filled things? I really don't feel like adding a pudding mix. It will make the cake overly sweet and chemical tasting, imo. Maybe some yogurt and a little more sugar/cocoa? You think that woudl taste good?

Also does anyone know if the Whimsical Bake House Buttercream is a crusting or non-crusting buttercream recipe?

I did a mini stand up bear with the brown sugar pound cake and it came out good. Have used the cake release recipe from here? I think it is
1 cup of flour
1 cup of Crisco
3/4 cup of vegatable oil

Here is the link to the recipe

As for your other question I have no idea!

Cool, I never thought about a recipe for the cake release. That will save some money, and obviously we all have those ingredients in our pantry.
