Just curious as to how many of you use a rolling pin with something that keeps cookies the same level? What type do you use?

Thanks

I use a 20-inch pin, but I made my frame out of square dowel rods.

I have a 1/2 inch and a 1/4 inch thick frames. And sometimes use the long candy sticks as a glide.

The pin rolls along the edges of the frame. I also took someone else's advice on CC and use parchment paper to keep from adding flour to the dough, it works perfectly.

I like the perfection strips much better than the rolling pin. You get those at www.countrykitchensa.com. April Carpenter has something to do with that business and she has a great site on cookies. It's www.aprilcarpenter.com.

i have the rolling pin bands (forget what they're actually called). You slip them onto the ends of your rolling pin and they come in like 4 different sizes. I really love them!

I actually have a rolling pin with various size wooden rings that slip on. It gives you perfect cookies, pie crust, etc. every time. I love it. My friend got it for me with Betty Crocker coupons.

Thanks to everyone. I have just requested a catalog from Country Kitchens and can't wait to get and start making a list. I guess I could get some of the rubber band type strips and they would fit on a regular rolling pin.

Thanks again. icon_smile.gif

Those are really neat. I have never seen them before. My DH made a square frame for me. I've been wondering what everyone uses. Glad to see this post!
