Thanks Cake Central for posting the instructions for making your own cookie cutters. I took that idea a bit further.

After searching for 5" x 3" pans all over town yesterday, I decided to make my own cutters in that size. The cutters were made 5" tall then I baked a large sheet pan 3" high, cooled and then used my cutters to cut the layers. Worked great and saved over $7-$10 per pan, not a bad way to go. I know it's a bit primitive but works in a pinch.

Thanks to Khalstead for her ideas on this website.

Great idea! Where did you find the idea for making your own cookie cutters? They always say that great ideas come out of great need. (not the exact phrase but close enough) icon_biggrin.gif
