Adven68, everyone asks the same question about the Coast Guard in Kansas. Their personnel service center is located here. Believe it or not, the Coast Guard has offices all over that are no where near a coast.
So here is what I have decided to do, and DH actually suggested this and really wants me to do it. DH's superior's birthday is this weekend, and I was originally asked to make his Bday cake (but when this whole quarterly cake came up, they told me to forget it). This guy (DH superior) is a really nice guy and I really like him. He is so nice to me and DH because his daughter has lupus (and so do I), and he always lets my husband leave if something medical comes up. So, I am making him a cake anyway on my own. DH is taking it in to work on Monday and putting it in his office and making it clear that it is from ME and no one else (so that no one gets offended). DH wants me to do something really intricate and difficult as to "show off" of sorts. He wants me to do a boat, so I am going to TRY to make a replica of a coast guard boat with a little chocolate clay figure of a coast guard guy.
I am also going to make cookies for DH and a friend of his for Valentine's Day (From Me only) and DH's birthday is in March, so I am going to make him an elaborate birthday cake and take it to his work.
This whole thing is just eating at me like a tapeworm! I am soooo mad and I just can't let it go. I just feel so used. I know that things happen for a reason, and I know she will get hers, but man, I hope it is soon.
What a great idea! Really wow them and remind them of your work.
hey there is even a coast guard boat in Oklahoma if you can believe that! It's a buoy tender on a river a think. : ) My mom has joked for the last 16 years why can't he get that station.
That's a pretty crappy thing to do! What the he!!? Does she know you do the cakes there? Better yet, does her decorating skills show hope? You probably don't have a thing to worry about! You're the professional for goodness sakes!
You fight for yourself!!!!!!!! Don't let a beginner take your thunder!
