I'm making a three tiered cake for my daughters 1st bday this weekend (tons of family) and I had a little bit of batter leftover. I made a small cake and needed to do something with it. I had quietly been reading your posts on chocolate clay and really wanted to try it. So, I used the white chocolate chips and made the clay last night. Kneeded in some crisco this morning. It covered the cake pretty well. The creases were working out easily - but I was racing the clock trying to get this thrown together before my baby woke up. I was also giving ganache a try. I was pretty pleased. So the cake is filled with ganache - and I piped (if I'm allowed to call a 2 minute mess of ganache "piped") ganache over the whole thing to cover creases icon_smile.gif All in all, I'm pretty happy with it and it should be a great surprise dessert for my husband.
