Are those decorations piped directly on to the cake or stenciled. Can I pipe BC on a fondant covered cake?

thanks

the resolution of the photo is really poor, so you can't see the cake...but looking at the small pic, it looks like they are hand piped. You can pipe buttercream on fondant, no problems. The ribbons seem to be satin.

I would pipe on it with royal... I've done it with buttercream, but I had an issue with smudging when I accidentally brushed against it.

The writing on the sweet 16 cake in my gallery is royal icing, and it turned out great.

Royal Icing Is fine to use. I use royal icing to pipe on mostly everything I have to do.
