Just curious if you decided to make your butter pecan cake with the mousse filling. I'm planning to use a butter pecan cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday cake next weekend, but couldn't figure out a filling.

If you decided to use this, or something else, that worked well, could you let me know? Thanks!!

Also, would store bought Dulce de leche make a good filling for this?

I was planning on cream cheese icing for a butter pecan cake. Does that work? I"m trying to be adventurous!

That butter pecan filling is the best! I have some extra in the fridge right now I have been snacking on. I used the butter pecan cake and filling for a bridal consult, and that was her fav. She couldn't believe it was because she normally does not like Butter Pecan.

When I make butter pecan cake, I do a bavarian cream filling with butterscotch or caramel sauce swirled in with the cream. Yum. But that butter pecan mousse sounds heavenly! I'm going to try that next time!!!!
