Ok so I made a bowl of regular buttercream icing and tinted it light pink...here's the weird part.....It taste like strawberry icing to me! I'm weird!! I guess my eyes are sending signals to my brain...LOL "pink=strawberry".. weird,eh...

IM SERIOUS! The same thing happened to me the other day when I dyed my white chocolate modeling clay pink. I immediately thought I tasted strawberry. I had to stop and think for a second..."did I add flavoring?" "No..." Im weird!

I am the same way. I made a regular white cake and added red coloring to make it pink and used regular BC colored pink. Everytime I took a bite I kept thinking it was strawberry!

I hate to be the one to break the news to you, BUT.....

YES!! You are destined for "cake weirdness". Most all of us CCers (who are honest with themselves) have a little bit of cake weirdness in them.

I was sitting in oil painting class yesterday (1st class) and when the instructor would demonstrate a technique I was thinking "I could TOTALLY do that on a cake!" No bc icing or candy clay or baking cakes around me!! The smell of paint thinner and oil paints and I'm STILL thinkin' cakes! LOLL Oh, and by the way.....I figured out that lemon extract would equal paint thinner in cake language!

I do the same thing when I have bright yellow icing. It automatically makes me taste lemon in it! icon_lol.gif
