OH MY GOSH you guys!!! I WON!!! I WON!!! I'm a SOOOO happy and excited! Not only did I win a 1st place blue ribbon but I won a special award purple ribbon!!! I'm SOOO happy! I am crying! How silly of me.

I couldn't stand it any longer and drove to the Fair right when it opened this afternoon. I looked at all the other cakes and have to admit that the weren't in the same calibur of decorating. Only two others got the purple special award winning ribbon though. So I'm pretty darn happy right now!
Thank you all for cheering me on! I appreciate it very much!

Congratulations kim, that is a beautiful cake.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother, I lost my grandmother to cancer and my mother had to have her left kidney removed in February because of cancer.

I know that your grandmother would have been very proud of you.
