I'm making my daughter's wedding cake in May and it will be 4 tier (6, 8, 10, 12) - but not stacked - so each tier will have it's own stand but wanted them in descending heights.   I've seen several acrylic ones but many of the comments are that the higher tier is not very sturdy.  Any recommendations?  TIA!

idk what kind of look you're going with overall but for coloring outside the lines a bit -- i like to use upturned crates or bowls or whatever and place fabric over the bowl or pot and scrunch the fabric up around it -- you can put lights under there -- can be astoundingly beautiful -- or cleanly cover a square or round piece of foam with something that coordinates with the decor and center it under each cake --

as far as the acrylics go -- i couldn't find any the last time i looked -- i had a certain style that i loved and poof - gone! no can find -

so i mean there's where you can use upturned champagne glasses -- like more for the 12" and enough for each tier and have those sitting on foam risers covered in something coordinating -- you can put a flower under each glass --

maybe something like that --

you could stack books under there and not have to buy any foam --

you could gather different plateaus, ceramic or glass footed cake plates from friends and family and use those --

one of my family weddings i found glass footed cake plates with the dots around the sides at hobby lobby -- i painted the dots gold -- they don't show them online now -- pier one used to have beautiful cake stands -- macys maybe -- check ebay -- poshmark -- goodwill --

best to you and long and happy wedded bliss to the new family!

but i tell yah - i never liked a three footed stand -- risky

keep looking though -- you might luck out if you have your heart set on acrylics

I love cakes displayed separately, with pretty fabric at different levels. They are a dream to serve too. No taking apart tiers, dowels, no waste. I would love to see that trend come back.

I have displayed cakes on individual homemade cake stands. So inexpensive to make. Check out thrift stores, like Goodwill or Salvation Army. I’ve found lovely plates and used candle sticks, overturned bowls, glassware to use as supports. Glued with epoxy, my cake stands are sturdy and strong.

Thank you so much for the ideas I’m not necessarily stuck on acrylics that’s just saw that I could find in the multi-tears like that but I will check that out for sure
