Hi!! my client asked for a cake for 20 people, I was looking at some serving charts but all are different so I’m confused now, which cake pan should I use and how many layers??

i think an eight inch cake 4" tall serves 24 -- so that's typically two layers -- sometimes people split each layer so it looks like four layers with filling in between -- a 9x13 serves 24 or an 8x12does too -- that's one 2" layer
