Using Big Marshmallows

can i use the big marshmallows instead of the little ones to make MMF?
I don't really want to go to the store again and get the little ones.

I did with no problem, just takes a little longer to melt.

I always use the big marshmallow.. FYI I feel that if you sift your sugar at least twice and then after making it, letting it sit for at least 24 hrs. It works just like fondant with a softer texture though.. Good Luck! P.S. If you tint it, I always add the color paste to it while its melting, it has always kept it's color..

I`ve used the big ones and had no problem using them. as smileyface said it will take a little longer to melt but I don`t think it`ll be a problem, righr?

I've only used MMF once on my Barbie cake.

After mixing it, I was able to knead it out without burning myself and it was kind of stiff to roll.

Are you suppose to wait a certain time before using?

..if you are not comfortable trying the MMF with the big marshmallows, you could always cut/tear them into smaller pieces before heating!
